Student Representative Council

Tallangatta Primary School values student voice and involving students in decision making, and also for taking responsibility in the running of some of the day to day activities.
Students from grades 3 to 6 are elected by their peers at the start of each year, to be their representatives on the Student Representative Council. They are required to submit a written application to the staff co-ordinator prior to the election.

The SRC meet on a regular basis to share any ideas from the students, and to discuss any correspondence from charities and organisations involving fund raising and special events. Special days such as Mad Hair Day, Footy Colours Day, Biggest Morning Tea,
Latipsoh Day and Jeans for Genes Day are some of the events run each year.
The SRC also organise fun days such as casual dress, pet parades, book week activities and food treats.

They also have a roster for the running of the whole school Monday morning assembly, where they share students’ successes and inform the school community of the up and coming SRC activities.
