Our school captains have the very important role of being our school representatives at school organised events including open days and at performances. They represent our school at various community events including the Tallangatta Anzac and Remembrance Day ceremonies. Our School Captains assist every week with the running of our school assemblies.

The students elect three house captains to represent their house throughout the year. Our House captains have additional roles of responsibility during the athletics and swimming carnivals and at other whole school athletics events. They also work with staff and students to promote pro-social behaviours on the yard and within the school.

Two students from each class from Year Two to Year Six are selected by their peers to represent their class at our Student Representative Council meetings. Student councillors raise issues important to the student body and discuss and make decisions on them in a formal, yet relaxed meeting setting. They look at how they can contribute at a school, local, state, national and even at an international level.
Our school runs a school buddy program which involves our Year Six students being paired with Foundation students and/or new students to our school to enhance our transition to school program. Our buddy program leaders do a wonderful job promoting social and support networks and assisting our new students to develop a sense of community and belonging in the school.
